Gemma Davis Dies in Whatcom County Car Accident

In a heartbreaking incident, Gemma P. Davis, a 21-year-old resident of Sequim, lost her life in a single-vehicle collision in Whatcom County. The unfortunate incident occurred on Mount Baker Highway near Cornell Creek Road around 11:30 p.m. on Monday night.

According to the Washington State Patrol, Gemma Davis was traveling east when she crossed into the shoulder and overcorrected, causing her 1991 Toyota Corolla to roll. The vehicle came to a rest in the roadway, blocking both lanes of traffic for approximately five hours.

Gemma, who was not wearing a seat belt, was tragically ejected from the vehicle during the roll. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, her injuries proved fatal. The exact cause of the crash is currently under investigation.

The Sequim Police, in coordination with authorities, have notified Gemma Davis’s next of kin, initiating a difficult period of mourning for her family and friends.
